National Body Comments Received

United Kingdom

The UK has some comments to make on the NW Proposal and the Project Acceptance Criteria.

The question about requirements for coding has been answered NO. There is a requirement for the language to be expressed in XML which may be significant in terms of document presentation and the answer to this question should be re-examined.

The Technical Status of the proposed project is unclear with both Mature and Prospective Technology questions being answered YES. The UK considers that SC 34 should have a clearer understanding of the status of the technology being standardized.

The status of conformance to the proposed standard is unclear. Question D1 indicates that there will be no Conformity Assessment but clause 4 of N226 is entitled Notes on Conformance. The UK considers that this needs clarification.
