Defect Reports

ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG22 is in the process of processing a number of Defect Reports on ISO/IEC 13719 - PCTE. Available are:

PCTE projects

Subproject 22.47.1

Goal: the corrective maintenance of the existing PCTE standard ISO/IEC 13719, parts 1-3.
Deliverable: corrigenda to ISO/IEC 13719, parts 1-3
Timescale: 1995-1996.

Subproject 22.47.2

Goal: development of an addendum to PCTE, describing how operations and methods can be added to the PCTE model in order to offer the functionalities of object orientation.
Deliverable: addenda to ISO/IEC 13719, parts 1-3
Timescale: 1995-1996

Subproject 22.47.3

Goal: development of an addendum to PCTE, describing how fine grain objects can be supported in order to allow high-performance access to objects in some categories of applications. The goal is to supply mechanisms allowing to group objects in clusters that processes can load in cache memory.
Base documents: ECMA-227, ECMA-228 and ECMA-229. Deliverable: addenda to ISO/IEC 13719, parts 1-3
Timescale: 1995-1996

Subproject 22.47.4

Goal: development of a C++ binding of PCTE.
Deliverable: ISO/IEC 13719 part 4 + addenda to part 4 (object orientation + fine grain objects)
Timescale: 1995-1997 (has a dependency to standardization of C++)

IDL binding

WG22 is also investigating an IDL binding to PCTE, based on ECMA-230.
