A number of new documents are now available from the WG5 file server:

1135 Sorted CD Ballot Comments
1136 Improving the TR process in the context of the strategic plan (US)
1137 Individual comment on floating point and related topics (Bierman)
1138 Response to T11 (X3J3)
1139 Conditional Compilation: The fcc approach (Epstein/Levine)
1140 Results of the X3J3 post meeting 134 006 letter ballot (Shepherd)
1141 Defect items with status "X3J3 approved; ready for WG5" (Shepherd)
1142 Edits from defect items not yet in Fortran 95 (Shepherd)
1143 Revision of DIS procedures

Most of these documents have also been distributed by email, but all will
be required at the forthcoming WG5 meeting in San Diego.

They are available from the server at ftp.nag.co.uk/sc22wg5 in the
directory N1135-N1143. Each document is available in two forms - Text and
PostSCript, and the complete set is contained in a sub-directory of the
apropriate name.

In particular, note that N1135 contains all the comments submitted during
the recent CD ballot, sorted into page order. This will be the primary
document for much of our work in San Diego. As it is over 40 pages long
(!) it would be much appreciated if everyone attending the meeting could
download it and print it themselves before the meeting. There will be a
reference copy available, but I imagine that our host would not relish
being asked to produce many copies of it.

Documents N1136-1142 will all be discussed under various agenda items,
provisionally as follows:

N1136 Agenda Item 6 and/or 8
N1137 Agenda Item 6.1 and/or 9
N1138,1139 Agenda Item 9.1
N1140,1141,1142 Agenda Item 5

N1143 is for information, as it may affect the exact procedure and timing
for the DIS ballot. It will probably be relevant at some stage of Agenda
Item 4, therefore.

I do apologise for not placing these documents on the ftp server before
now. I have been totally overwhelmed with University matters during the
last few weeks and a lot of other matters have, inevitably, been pushed to
one side. Most, if not all, of these documents have been circulated by
email before now, but I apologise for not placing them in the formal
electronic distribution system before now.

I look forward to seeing many of you in San Diego next week.

Miles
