Subject: National Delegations to the San Diego WG5 meeting

At the present time there will be a Japanese delegation (of 2) and the
Convenor in San Diego.

I hope that there will be more than that (;-), so may I remind all Heads of
national Delegations to let me and Ted Terpstra (as the host) know who will
be in their delegation as soon as that is known.

Now that the CD ballot is over we shall need to work hard on the 20 reasons
for the S NO vote and the 150-200 other comments received, to say nothing
of all the other items on the agenda. I suspect that it may be quite a
well-attended meeting, but don't forget that all delegations are supposed
to be notified to me in advance. (I have no intention of using this as a
precedent, but there was a recent case where the US delegation was refused
admission to another Working Group meeting because they had not notified
the Convenor of their delegation's members! What made it more embarrassing
was that the meeting was being hosted by the US!)

We also have a number of other important matters to resolve - not the least
of which is the first pass through the requirements for Fortran 2000. All
proposals for additions to the requirements database should already have
been sent to John Reid, so if you have one, and it hasn't been submitted
yet, please do so asap!

Miles
