From: Miles Ellis (Convenor)

A small bundle of documents will be despatched later this week to all WG5
members containing the official announcement of the next meeting of WG5 and
the preliminary agenda; these documents have already been sent to the SC22
Secretariat for distribution within SC22.

Since I am obliged, under the terms I proposed for electronic distribution,
to send meeting announcements and minutes in paper form to all members, I
am taking the opportunity to also send out a few other papers - notably
copies of the requests to subdivide our main project to allow work on the
three proposed TRs. These have also been sent to the SC22 Secretariat, and
will be voted on at the SC22 Plenary in September. They can be modified,
if necessary, before the Plenary, so any comments should be sent to me in
good time. More details are in the distributed papers.

The official WG5 ftp server, supported by NAG, is now available, and all
the papers in the above-mentioned distribution, as well as those in the
previous one and the draft CD, are available from there by anonymus ftp.
Other documents will be added when I return from vacation at the end of
August, and arrangements for mirroring this site will be finalised at the
same time.

The address of the WG5 archive is

     ftp.nag.co.uk/sc22wg5

and it can also be accessed directly from the WG5 www pages

     http://www.etrc.ox.ac.uk/wg5.html

Have a good summer, and don't forget to make arrangements for San Diego in
November!

Miles
