>T9. Interoperability with C
>That WG5 intends to produce a Technical Report in 1996 on interoperability
>with C; Jamie Shiers is appointed interim Project Editor and is charged to
>assemble a development body and to identify a Project Editor. The target
>schedule and outline content of this technical report are described in

At the recent WG5 meeting in Tokyo, there was a resolution (above)
relating to interoperability between Fortran and C. If the proposed
technical report is to be produced in a timely manner, then a proposal
for a new work item must be written by early July so that
it can be circulated to WG5 for comment and still be ready for submission
to SC22 prior to the Plenary in September. If this is not done, then
a three month letter ballot of SC22 is required, which will clearly delay
the whole process.

People who are willing, or who know of others who might be willing, to
work on this item are invited to send me a short e-mail.

In particular, it is urgent to identify a project editor - my current
committments do not permit me to continue in this role even as long
as July.
