I have been appointed as interim project editor for this work. My initial job is
to convene, electronically, a group who will do the actual drafting work to
produce this report. This message is, therefore, a call for volunteers.
The group already has three members Malcolm Cohen, Masayuki (makki) Takata and
me. I would hope to assemble a working development group of about 5 or 6 people
with the additional members drawn from other national bodies, i.e. a working
member each from the USA and and Germany. It will be the role of these people to
actually produce the text of the TR. I am assuming the reviewing of drafts will
be done by the hole WG5 membership, but to actually generate text I think a
smaller group is necessary.

The area of this technical report is the enhancement of the data type facilities
to provide for parameterised derived types (consistency with intrinsic types an
essential requirement) and to allow allocatable components.

Those of you interested in these areas and prepared to put "pen to paper" please
reply.
