I have received a copy of 1539-2, "Varying length character strings".  The
publication date for the first edition is 1994-12-15.  The reference number is
ISO/IEC 1539-2:1994(E).

The ballot on Corrigendum 2 closed with no negative votes and no comments.
It is being submitted to ITTF for publication.

I received ballots from the following on the responses to the defect items in
N1070:

country ballots were all yes without comment except for one comment on 
item 135 and one negative vote each on items 100 and 147.  The individual
