I like the Keukenhof option.  The travel time doesn't seem excessive
(of course I come from the wide open West), and I'm lucky enough not to
have allergies.

Plus, the images of Holland that fill my
head are tulips--wooden shoes--windmills--Beach Boys "Holland" album--boy with
finger in dike, so a chance to see a lot of flowers (including
tulips I suppose!) is definitely on my list.  And I don't think I'd
manage a combined train/bus trip without a host/guide, whereas I will be
able to walk through Delft from the hotel I think.
