Dear participants in the Delft meeting,

I am working on organizing a trip or tour on an afternoon during the
Delft meeting of WG5/J3 (assuming that we have time to take an afternoon
off, of course !).

An obvious place to visit in Spring in the Netherlands is the
"Keukenhof" (http://www.keukenhof.com), a 32 hectare park with all sorts
of flowers (literally millions of flowers). However, this is a combined
train/bus trip which probably takes about 1.5 hours (two times). Daily.

Another possibility is a city walk in Delft (http://www.delft.nl).
Delft is a historically interesting city (founded in 1246). There are
walks with themes like "history", "Vermeer" and "The House of Orange"
(Wednesday afternoon).

Yet a third possibility is a combined city walk / boat trip through the
Delft canals (Every day, but starting at 10:45 am).

I estimate the group to be about 25 - is that approximately right ? We
could of course decide to split the group in "Keukenhof" and "Delft"
subgroups, if the interests are divers.

Please give me your thoughts ...

Kind regards,

--
