You can also request smoking or non-smoking rooms. For more information on the hotel, see: http://oxford.holiday-inn.com/ Travel: 1) For UK residents check with the host. However note that the hotel has extensive parking space for cars. 2) For non-UK attendees: fly in to Heathrow (Birmingham International and Gatwick are also possibilities but please ask host for travel details form those airports if you intend using them, European travelers may wish to opt for Standstead or Luton. There are direct coach connections from both these airports to Oxford, but the services are only two hourly and, though comfortable and cheap the travel times are two to three hours. Additionally the services only run if at least one passenger has booked to travel on them.) From Heathrow, DO NOT go to London but catch the Oxford Coach (leaving from bay 15 outside Terminal 4 and bay 10 at the Central Bus station. The return fare is currently 16UKP which is roughly 25 dollars/euros. For details see http://www.theairline.info/lhr_tt.htm. (Unfortunately there are a lot of defunct pages referring to Oxford timetables that get thrown up by Google and other search engines, so please use this URL). You will need to go all the way to the Oxford Coach Station and catch a Taxi form there to the hotel. Nearer the time I will provide maps covering car travel together with hopefully helpful hints on getting from where you are to where you need to be.
