Abstract: At previous meetings, there has been overwhelming sentiment for removing the ``implicit int'' declarations from the language and requiring explicit declarations instead. This prevents subtle errors due to undeclared identifiers being implicitly declared rather than producing a diagnostic. This proposal handles one such case -- the implicit declaration of functions. Proposal: In subclause 6.3.2.2 Function calls, Semantics, remove the second paragraph (``If the expression that precedes the parenthesized argument list in a function call consists solely of an identifier, and if no declaration is visible....'') and the associated footnote.
