After the meeting, generate a clean working draft as quickly as possible distribute it to committee members for close review. Meeting 17 Kona, Hawaii November 10-15, 1996 Activities: Finalize editorial changes to Stockholm draft and approve for forwarding to SC22 for second CD ballot. The intent is to edit the document **at the meeting** so that a final draft is available immediately following it. The second CD ballot--and public reviews in various countries--will begin approximately one month after we forward the document to SC22, and will last for three months. Meeting 18 Nashua, NH March 9-14, 1997 Activities: This meeting takes at the end of the 2nd CD ballot. According to SC22 policy, no substantive changes to the working draft can be made during balloting. The US TAG is scheduled to hold a vote on the US position on the 2nd CD at this meeting. Meeting 19 United Kingdom July 13-18, 1997 Activities: According to our accelerated schedule, this meeting will be used to agree on all technical changes which are needed to resolve the second CD ballot comments. A new draft, intended to be submitted as DIS, will be produced after the meeting, according to our normal schedule. Meeting 20 (Location TBD--France proposed) November 9-14, 1997 Activities: At this meeting we will look at the proposed DIS draft and make final editorial changes. The intent is that the final DIS draft will be available **at the close of the meeting**, and that the DIS may be sent to SC22 immediately after the meeting. If we can produce a C++ draft by the end of November, then the DIS ballot should run from the end of January, 1998 through the end of April, 1998. (A longer processing time is required by JTC1.) After reaching DIS stage (the beginning of DIS ballot), the world can begin referring to the "ISO C++ Draft Standard." Meeting 21 (Location TBD) March 8-13, 1998 Activities: This meeting will occur during the DIS ballot. No changes to the document should occur. It would be possible to begin work on Defect Reports. There is an ANSI public comment period during DIS ballot. Meeting 22 (Location TBD) July, 1998 Activities: Resolve any comments on DIS ballot. (They should be only editorial.) Complete a Resolution of Comments document. If successful, submit final camera-ready copy to ITTF for publication. Otherwise, an additional DIS or even CD ballot may be needed. The C++ Standard (IS 14882) is official upon publication by ITTF, approximately Fall, 1998. Future meetings of WG21 will be held to discuss Defect Reports, Technical Corrigenda, and/or Amendments. -end-
