Date: 2005-03-13, 16:27

Hi, Ken

I checked the proofreading texts of
- TR 19758/Amd.1
- TR 19758/Amd.2
and found no problems.

I confirm the publication of them.

WG2 convener sent an email to ITTF asking the date of their publication. However, he has not yet received any answer.

SC34 secretariat is requested to contact with ITTF for confirmation of the publication date of Amd.1 and Amd.2 to ISO/IEC TR 19758.

2.2 Amd.3: Extensions to Multilingual Compositions (North and South Asian Compositions)

According to the approvals of the PDAM3, the DAM text was created in the last meeting in Washington DC. Due to no activity of JTC1 secretariat, however, the circulation of DAM3 was delayed and done at the end of March.

The ballot of DAM3 (JTC1 N7755) will be terminated in 2005-06-24.

3. ISO/IEC 9541-3, Font information interchange - Glyph shape representation

3.1 Amd.1: Additional Shape Representation Technology

The FPDAM1 text was approved without any objection and comments, as shown in SC34 N602.

Responding to the request of ITTF, the project editor submitted the FDAM1 text in the form of Word in 2005-04-10. It has been circulated as SC34 N610 with G11 Explanatory Report; SC34 N611.

4. Minimum requirements for specifying document rendering systems

4.1 NP

The NP (SC34 N578) was approved with 5 participations as shown in SC34 N597. WG2 convener thanks the National Bodies for voting YES on "Q3" committing participation and thanks, in particular, National Bodies of Korea and Japan for offering editors.

After closing the NP ballot in SC34, JTC1 circulated JTC1 N7725 for requesting JTC1 National Bodies' review of the NP by 2005-05-11. After 11 May, JTC1 has notified no information for the result of the review. WG2 believes it means no objections of JTC1 National Bodies and that the project has formally established in SC34 Program of Work.
