Resolutions of the
ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34 Meeting
Orlando

Resolution 1: WG1 Programme of Work and Editors (subdivision of CD 19757, DSDL)

SC34 accepts the list of parts indicated in SC34N275 as an appropriate subdivision of the new project Document Schema Description Language (DSDL)

SC34 accepts WG1's appointment of editors for DSDL: Part 0, Ken Holman, Part 1, Ken Holman, James Clark, and Makoto Murata; Part 2, James Clark, and Makoto Murata; Part 4, Rick Jelliffe.

SC34 instructs the Secretariat to make appropriate changes in the SC34 Programme of Work.

Resolution 2: DSDL, Part 0

SC34 accepts N275 as the proposed text for Part 0 of DSDL and transmits it to the SC34 Secretariat for CD ballot and comments.

Resolution 3: DSDL, Part 2

SC34 accepts N276 as the proposed text for Part 2, "Grammar-based schema languages", of DSDL and transmits it to the SC34 Secretariat for CD ballot and comments.

Resolution4: Endorsement of WG2 Recommendations and Program of Work

SC34 endorses the WG2 Recommendations, SC34 N284 (WG2 N87) and Program of work SC34 N282 (WG2 N86), approved at the Dec. 2001 Working Group meeting in Orlando.

Resolution 5: DSSSL Amendment

SC34 accepts N281 (WG2 N81) as disposition of comments on PDAM1 to ISO/IEC 10179. SC34 instructs the editor to create FDAM1 text in accordance with N281 (WG2 N81) and forward it to the SC34 Secretariat for processing.

Resolution 6: Revision of ISO/IEC TR 9573-11

SC34 accepts the report/plan for revision of ISO/IEC TR 9573-11, N288, and instructs the editor to create PDTR according to the plan.

Resolution 7: Endorsement of WG3 Roadmap

SC34 endorses the WG3 Roadmap for the development of the Topic Map projects, N278.

Resolution 8: Acceptance of N270

SC34 endorses N270, the Disposition of Comment of on N260, National Body comments on N220.

Resolution 9: Approval of Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments

JTC 1/SC 34 approves the Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments contained in SC 34 N273, as revised above.

SC 34 approves the following tentative meeting schedule:

SC 34 expresses its appreciation to the IDEAlliance for hosting the Seventh Plenary Meeting of SC 34, at the XML 2001 Conference in Orlando.

Resolution B: Appreciation to SC 34 Chairman

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Dr. James Mason, the SC 34 Chairman, for the leadership and support he provided at the SC 34 meeting.

Resolution C: Appreciation to SC 34 Secretariat

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Ms. Sara Hafele, the SC 34 Secretariat, for the support she provided at the SC 34 meeting and in preparation for the meeting.
