Resolution 1: SPDL maintenance

SC34 accepts N187 (WG2 N48) as a proposed Technical Corrigendum 1 to ISO/IEC 10180:1995 (SPDL), to correct the errors reported in SC34 N160 (SC34/WG2 N41 ), and sends it to SC34 Secretariat for TC processing.

Resolution 2: DSSSL maintenance

SC34 accepts N190 (WG2 N59) as a disposition of comments received in the TC ballot on SC34 N157 and accepts N193 (WG2 N62) as Technical Corrigendum 1 to ISO/IEC 10179:1996 (DSSSL). SC34 requests that the Secretariat transmit N193 to the ITTF for publication.

Resolution 3: Amendment to DSSSL

SC34 accepts N189 (WG2 N58) as the 1st working draft of Amendment 1 to ISO/IEC 10179 - Extensions to DSSSL and requests experts to provide comments to the Project Editor. The Editor is instructed to draft a PDAM text after considering the comments.

Resolution 4. ISO/IEC 10036 maintenance

SC34 accepts N190 (WG2 N59) as a disposition of comments provided for the TC ballot on SC34 N156 and accepts N192 (WG2 N61) as a Technical Corrigendum 1 to ISO/IEC 10036:1996 (Procedures for registration of font-related identifiers). SC34 requests that the Secretariat transmit N192 to the ITTF for publication.

Resolution 5. Withdrawal of Project

SC34 accepts WG2's request to withdraw the following project:

Resolution 6: Endorsement of WG2 Recommendations

JTC 1/SC 34 endorses the WG 2 Recommendations, SC 34 N 194 (WG2 N63), approved at the November/December 2000 Working Group meetings in Ottawa, Canada and Washington, DC.

Resolution 7: Proposal of Topic Map Query Language

SC34 accepts N183 (Cover, Form) as a New Project Proposal for a Topic Map Query Language to support ISO/IEC 13250 and N186(Cover, Text) as a first working draft for the proposed standard. SC34 requests its secretariat forward these documents to JTC1 for ballot and CD registration.

Resolution 8: Proposal of Topic Map Conceptual Model

SC3 accepts N184 (Cover, Form) as a New Project Proposal for a Topic Map Conceptual Model to support ISO/IEC 13250 and N185, as a first working draft for the proposed technical report. SC34 requests its secretariat forward these documents to JTC1 for ballot and PDTR registration.

Resolution 10: Approval of Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments

JTC 1/SC 34 approves the Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments contained in SC 34 N180, as revised by the reports of WG1 and WG2.

SC 34 approves the following tentative meeting schedule:

Resolution 11:Welcome to Korea

SC34 Welcomes the delegation from Korea and congratulates them on becoming a P member of SC34.

Resolution 12: Hosting of Meeting

SC 34 expresses its appreciation to the Graphic Communications Association for hosting the Fifth SC 34 Plenary Meeting in Washington, DC.

Resolution 13: Appreciation to SC 34 Chairman

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Dr. Jim Mason, the SC 34 Chairman, for the leadership and support he provided at the SC 34 meeting.

Resolution 14: Appreciation to SC 34 Secretariat

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Ms Sara Hafele, the SC 34 Secretariat, for the support she provided at the SC 34 meeting and in preparation for the meeting.
