Liaison Request from CICC

From: TK. Sato Center of the International Cooperation for
Computerization (CICC)
To: Dr. Komachi - ISO/IEC JTC1 SC34 WG2 convenor
Date: 1999-04-09
Subject: (informal) liaisonship request

Dear sir.
Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC)
requests to open an informal liaison relation with ISO/IEC JTC1 SC34
WG2.

Rationale: CICC has a project which is aiming to propose an addition of
"Font-Property" of Asian characters to ISO/IEC 9541. Therefore, it is
beneficial for both ISO/IEC JTC1 SC34 WG2 and CICC to have a kind of
liaisonship.
Since the CICC project is only 3 year term, rather than creating formal
liaison relation by getting through formal process, it is far easier and
practical to open an informal relation immidiately.

Proposed liaison officer from CICC: Takayuki K. Sato secretariat of
the CICC project
