World Wide Web issues for SC22 groups: Issues of particular concern are control of contents with regard to accuracy, privacy, commercialism, and copyright. Author The Creator/maintainer of the home page should be directly responsible to the chairman or convenor of the group. Contents A basic outline - Proposed Contents - see another document Caveats concerning content - Consider the impact of including: Commercial information Links to commercial interests, such as providors of: compilers validators standard libraries Fairness - if it mentions any commercial interest, does it have to mention all? Personal information such as attendee lists, mailing lists Privacy is an issue; some participants may not want their contact information made public. Permit only with addressee permission? How much information? (name, organization, address, telephone, fax, email?) Note that keeping names & addresses current is a continuous task. Document ownership: Who can link to WDs, etc. if they re available on-line? Copyrighted materials DISs and ISs are copyrighted. Keeping the home page continuously updated is critical to maintain interest.
