JTC1/SC22/WG14
is in the process of processing a number of Defect Reports
on ISO/IEC 9899, which has produced a Record of Responses (RRs)
WG14 completed a revision of the C standard ISO/IEC 9899 in 1999,
published 1999-12-01.
The new standard is called ISO C99, or more formally ISO/IEC 9899:1999.
A list of new features is available.

charter. The final state of the work can
be found in the WG14 status of C9X contributions.

WG14 is revising the C99 standard, for a standard dubbed C1X.
